From Music Studies to professional experience in the Audio and Music World, Roger Al Halaby earned himself to be one of the most successful Sound Engineers and Music Producers, Entrepreneur and Studio Owner among his peers in the Arab Music World.
Roger Al Halaby started his musical career when he entered the Lebanese National Higher Conservatory back in 1991, aiming to be a Music Producer.
From 1991 till 1998, Roger Al Halaby earned his Masters Diploma in Music Technology, Excellent with Distinction from the Lebanese National Higher Conservatory of Music.
Roger couldn’t get enough of learning and was so eager to move further and enter the Music Industry, so he followed sound engineering studies and participated in various workshops.
Earning between 2007 and 2011 Certificates in Acoustics and Studio Construction by Ian Budd, Mixing with Pro tools by Brian White, Sound Recordist & Boom Operator, Intermediate and Advanced, by Ian Richardson and iPhone/iPad applications Development course from USJ.
In 1996, acclaimed for being an advocate for Technology and Continuous Evolution in the Audio World, Roger Al Halaby co-founded the new department called “Music Technology” with Dr. Jamal Abou el Hosn and Georges Jreich in the Lebanese National Higher Conservatory.
Between 1996 and 2006, Roger worked in his own studios and in parallel, on recording, editing, mastering and sequence programming at many renowned studios ( Ihsan EL Mounzer, Boudi Naoum, Tony Saba) in addition to Audio & MIDI configuration setup & technical supervision and Consultancy in hardware and software and got himself the chance of showing his advanced skills both musically and technically.
Starting 2000, He opened his recording studios “Arabian Beat Studios”, working on the highest standards in music and audio production, as well as dubbing documentaries, composing music for films and Video production.
Also at the year 2000, Roger Al Halaby was named the Sound Engineer of the “Lebanese National Symphony Orchestra” and in 2001 the Sound Engineer of the “Lebanese Arabic Oriental Orchestra” and still is till date.
Being an acclaimed executive Sound Engineer, Music Producer, Arranger and Composer, Roger worked with almost all the A Class artists in the music scene from Sabah, to Melhem Barakat, to Najwa Karam, Nancy Ajram, Georges Wassouf, Myriam Fares, Assi EL Helleni, Melhem Zein and many more, in addition to the making of many jingles for radios and TV stations, whether local or in the Arab world like perfecting various commercials for MBC and Panorama in KSA and Jordan radios and recording and mixing the dubbed version of the Famous Videogame Tomb Raider.
In addition to that, Roger Al Halaby arranged, recorded, mixed and mastered songs for prestigious plays let’s mention the famous Caracalla’s “Leylat Kamar” (1996) and “Shams w Qamar” (2011) by Wajdi Shaya.
Moreover, since 2010, Roger Al Halaby was named the Sound Engineer Live Recording & Mixing the Quatuor Music Del Tempo by Selectium, Zaki Nassif program at the American University of Beirut and many prestigious concerts at Qatar, Abou Dhabi and Jordan.
Roger continues to expand his career bringing his music production skills to higher levels always mixing the technological know-how and research in computer music with heavy background in traditional music.
